Who We Are?
The International Chamber of Mines of Armenia (ICMA) is an independent, professional, and non-profit institution that collaborates with all stakeholders in the mining industry in Armenia. Our primary focus is the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Armenia’s mineral resources and mining sector, ensuring adherence to the international standards of sustainability and competitiveness. We aim to facilitate and introduce Armenia’s mineral potential to the world.
Structure and committees
ICMA operates through a well-structured framework comprising various committees which play a crucial role in achieving our objectives:
Geology and Exploration Committee
Focuses on promoting geological studies and exploration projects to identify potential mineral resources in Armenia.
Development and Operations Committee
Handles matters related to mining, quarrying, processing, and smelting operations, ensuring sustainable and responsible practices.
Industry Finances, Reporting, and Financial Governance Committee
Oversees financial matters within the mining sector, including reporting standards, governance, and financial transparency.
Environment, CSR/Social Activities, and Governance Committee
Emphasizes environmental sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and good governance practices in the mining industry.
Technology and Skill Committee
Explores technological advancements and promotes the development of skilled human resources within the mining sector.
